Each June 14th we celebrate the Maritime Port Worker Day
With the commitment of maintaining the vitality in the operations, the port workers celebrate their day on June 14th, convinced of the relevance of the undertaken work and also of the essential contribution to the country’s economy, in challenging times marked by the impact of COVID-19.
The team of more than 500 workers from Mariel Container Terminal S.A. ensure the the compliance of the planned hygienic and sanitary measures in each job position, as part of the confrontation of the pandemic, which has favored the continuity of the services provided and the satisfaction of the clients’ needs.
Safety and health at work is a premise for workers of the sector, who focus on enhancing the productivity in the extraction, loading and unloading of containers that arrive at the port enclave.
The date is suitable to remember the struggle traditions of the workers in the sector, before and after the revolutionary triumph, as well as the undertaken labor feats, guided by the spirit of the historical leader of the sector Aracelio Iglesias Díaz.
