Consecration to such a human mission

We thank our health personnel for their daily dedication, dedicating themselves to such a human mission, staying up in the most difficult moments no matter how tough the situation becomes. In these times marked by an atrocious pandemic the task is and also has been very intense.

The Orlando Santana Valdés teaching polyclinic, in Mariel, was authorized as a provincial care center for low-risk COVID-19 positive patients. There, Dr. Maikel Rafael Barrios Sánchez, a specialist in Comprehensive General Medicine, provided his services, joining the team in charge of ensuring the health of those who arrive at the medical institution. After a week of work, he complies with the established isolation period.

Meanwhile, Marisel Izquierdo Carta, known as Chachi, went to Mexico two months ago. From this country she faces the pandemic, this is her second internationalist mission with the same aim, because last year she was one of the collaborators of the Henry Reeve Brigade that extended solidarity to the Principality of Andorra.

Our deepest gratitude, to all our doctors and nurses, who constantly watch over our well-being.
